Recognition

Louise Edwards

I was so priveledged to meet this wonderful strong lady and to be able to give her recognition for living such an example.

She lost her husband and soulmate after a long struggle with his health - both of them believing for a miracle.

The way she handled the tough times and the life without her life long partner at the moment is admirable.

Rita Riedel

It does not matter how many times you get knocked down in life - it matters how many times when it is so hard to get up - you get up.....

This is the story of this woman - she is an example to many - and to me -

Thank you Rita for always getting up!

Trudie Bergh

I was privileged to give recognition to this young lady in Newcastle.

Despite her circumstances Trudie radiates a calmness, almost as if everything is fine, there where she is sitting in her wheelchair.

Her positivity is contagious and picks everybody around her up.

Ansie Griesel

I met this special lady, vulnerble, but strong, at the function I held in Pinetown - Gelofte School.

I was priveledged to give her recognition in my programme for being such an inspiration to other women in the way she handled her circumstances.

She lost her husband and had to learn to become independant and cope alone. The way she did is inspiring....

Thank you Ansie for sharing - in your own words - your story with us. You are a blessing...

Cecilia Booysen

Cecilia your story gives us all hope, because to overcome your circumstances in your life was a miracle.

Thank you that I can share that with woman to give them hope - because if you can, we can ......

You shine like the woman you are with your beautiful eyes.

It was a priveledge to meet you and to give you recognition for the inspiration you are to woman!

This very special Lady that I met in Calvinia made such an impression with her soft but strong spirit and positive energy.

One could feel the positive response of everybody in the hall as I called her on stage to recognise her for the example she lives.

She has an inspiring story to tell and I asked her to tell it in her own words. . .

Marna Els

I would like to share a story with you about a lady who was attacked by a buffalo and how she had to fight for her life and pick her life up again.

She is still busy recovering and has to have a major back operation.

Marna will tell her story in her own words (in Afrikaans):

Helene Broodryk

Helene's mother died of complications during her birth - and at the same time Helene suffered damage to her optical nerve and eye muscles.

Ten years ago Helene started to turn blind and has currently only 10% vision in both her eyes.

Due to her deteriorating vision, Helene, a qualified teacher, had to stop teaching. . .

Susan Matthee

It was Helen Keller who said: "that the best and the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even heard - it must be felt with the heart".

This quote makes me think of Susan Matthee, who is busy losing her sight.

Despite her circumstances Susan radiates a warm positive persona with a light in her eyes. It was such a privilege to give Susan recognition in my programme in East London. Susan shares her story (in Afrikaans) in such a descriptive way that it grabs your heart.

Hettie de Wet

When I met Hettie I immediately noticed the quiet determination and strength in her eyes. She has experienced life in a way that few us will ever do. Hettie reminds me of a verse in the Bible, 1 Timothy 2 v 7: "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of love, power, and of a sound mind."

Hettie is a fenominal woman and her story wil make you think. . .
