Recognition

By elkeen van my musiekmotiveringsprogramme vra ek die organiseerder om vir my 'n dame te nomineer aan wie ons erkenning kan gee. Dit is gewoonlik die besigheidsvrou of die sportvrou of selfs 'n "celebrity" wat vereer word vir hulle prestasies.

Maar wat van die baie gewone vroue wat net in die stilligheid hulle buitengewone omstandighede oorkom. Ek meen hulle verdien ook om erken te word vir die manier hoe hulle oorkom.

Ek glo dat herdie erkenning ook as voorbeeld en motivering dien vir die res van ons. Dit spoor my aan om ook mu omstandighede te oorkom.

Petra is a special lady and I hope that her story will inspire you to say "if she can - I can also".

She lives an example and knows what it means to live in the paradox of life.

I gave recognition to this very special "pearl of a woman" who went through the knocks of life, but everytime she just got up, no matter how hard the knock.

Her life and her story is truely an inspiration to me and to many others.

Ek het erkenning gegee aan 'n vrou wat deur dik en dun by haar man gestaan het, en as jy haar storie lees sal jy net weer die ongelooflike deernis, deursettingsvermoë en liefde van 'n vrou raaklees.

Haar positiewe gees wat sy uitdra, toe ek haar die oggend ontmoet, het my opgeval. Maar dit bly 'n keuse.....

Tannie Petro en oom Daan was getroud en het 2 seuns uit die huwelik. Die gesin het hul eie vervoer besigheid gehad wat koring, mielies ens, vervoer het.

Tannie Petro is 'n hardwerkende vrou en het vir niks agteruitgestaan nie en het self ook partykeer die groot trokke bestuur. .  .

The night I presented my programme in East Londen, I really had the flu and lost my voice during my performance, but the people were so supportive and said they enjoyed every minute of my programme.

Anyway, the highlight of the programme was the recognition I could give to an amazing lady Trudy Boshoff - a member of the Greenfields Methodist Church - East Londen.

No matter how many times life had knocked her down, she always just got up every time.
This is such an inspiring story in her own words and when you read it, it will encourage you....

Sometimes you meet someone with a dream in their heart and you can see it in their eyes their life giving, life saving spirit draws people to them to give hope to be nurtured and cared for.

This is Sonja, a dinamic woman, who had to get up and walk with no legs, as if she had legs and she did!

I would like to introduce her to you as you read her story in her own words (in Afrikaans) that will fill you with adoration, hope, faith, and inspiration.

I met this phenominal woman in Polokwane last year when I presented my programme and gave her recognition for the amazing way she handled her very difficult life.

She has written her story for us to be inspired by - it really sounds like a movie. Impossible to be true.
But this Lady is an overcomer and her trust in God is evident

I met an elegant Lady with an elegant spirit.

She encountered the unfair pain that life brings, but confronted it with courage in the face of fear and dispair, because she knew a Higher reality and Conciousness that brings hope and peace and a perspective of a Life hereafter in the presence of God - which is more real to her than the present life she embraces with joy!

I was honoured to give recognition to a Lady who is such an overcomer with such joy and faith - that it is uplifting to read her story.

She displays such childlike faith that there's no room for doubt and that is why I believe she received what she believed for - it was according to her faith.
