Winter in the Cape & my new album

I toured the biggest part of June on the Weast coast and and Cape Town with my music motivational programme " Die hartklop van vrouwees". It was really nice to experience the hospitality of the people on the weast coast. Cape Town greeted me with cold winter weather, and yes I had to button my jacket up tight.

At the Velddrif programm, an old gentelman who also attended the womens programme asked my I only perform for womens audiences these days. When will I again do a proper concert, he wanted to know. My answer was that I am bussy to focus, aplying my talent where I think it will make the greatest impact. Since 1997, after my divorce I had to start over. I had to learn to be indipendent and how to look after myself. I had to reconstruct myself, (this is what my album reconstructing Alice is all about). Today I can share my experiences with women, and I trust that it will make a positive contribution.

I did paln to start recording my new commercial album during July, this new CD will include a bonus dist with all my earlier hits. Because it is taking longer to finalize the repertoire I will have to postporne the recording of the CD for a bit, but am lookig forward to start with the recordings as soon as possible.

I also received an e-mail from Wynand who wanted to know why it is so difficult to find any of my music in the music shops. I think that people don't always understand that the music belongs to a recording company. They decide if there is any commercial opportunity in a product, and will remove it from the market if they think it will not sell anymore. This is the case with all my older material, belonging to EMI.

Since 1975 at the start of my carreer I traveled many kilometers on our roads. During my recent tour to Cape Town we spent lots of time on the road. It is my testimony that in all these years the Lord protected me, I did not experience any major incidents.
