I toured the Cape in May and again met wonderful people.
Although being on the road takes its toll, I am always inspired by the
people I meet.
As the cold weather and the snow set in during the course of our tour, I
contracted a cold, but quickly phoned my docter for a script to keep me
going.
But in East Londen, I really felt terrible and during my performance, I lost
my voice. I felt horrible about my deliverance of my programme that
evening, but am thankful to say - it still touched people's hearts. What do
you in such a situation? I just had to see it thro.....
It was freezing in the beautiful Ladybrand, but my voice was back, despite
the coughing...... Talita, the Nimue Salon - Silhouette - spoiled the ladies
with a few gifts.
When we arrived home, it felt like my own little haven where I could
recouperate. My neighbour sent me a message "have you gone underground?"
My thoughts went to the story Elise Bosch told about the street children in
Hillbrow. She is an amazing woman who evangelizes in the streets of
Hillbrow.
The children wake up in the early morning covered in white ashes as they
rolled in the burnt out fire, trying to keep warm during the night.....
In some way she brings hope ........ with Grace ........
The cruelty of these childrens' circumstances has robbed them from the
ability to be able to choose to be freed from it.....
And I think about myself ..... my safe haven and warm bed .......
"When the storms of life pour down on you, it's what happens within you that
will determine what happens to you.
Our reaction to a setback we can either operate with "ostrich wisdom" and
bury our heads in the sand and hope the problem will pass, or look up,
stand tall, and face the problem head on."
"We have one freedom inside us that nobody can take away, the freedeom of
reaction or attitiude in any given circumstance" Victor Frank.
"when we are knocked down, be sure to land on your back, because if you can
look up, you can get up!" Nelson Mandela

The battle ground is between your two ears - the constant battle between
seeing darkness or seeing the light!
Look up and be kind to yourself, because you are the best positive gift that
you can give to a broken world!
Keep warm and beat the cold!
