Christmas is here and it feels almost just too soon . . I still have to get the christmas feeling!!

I am currently on the cover of the Vrouekeur. The article is mostly about my participation in Liefling die movie.

It was a good year. Positive things contributed to giving me profile which I am thankful for!

My album "Pêrels" touched the hearts of people and working with a talented songwriter like Rudi Claase was inspiring.

After receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at Skouspel, I was fortunate to receive another one at the Rapport Vonk Awards, and as a bonus, I won the use of a Mercedes A 200, for a year - sponsered by McCarthy Kunene in Witbank. I mentioned as I received my award, that by receiving this award it hopefully does not mean that I should retire! I am only getting started .........

We are negotiating with the friendly people from McCarthy Kunene to change the deal from using the Mercedes A200 to rather working on buying a new Sprinter, with them helping me with a good deal.
Our Sprinter is getting a bit old and unrelyable, and I still need to travel a lot. I am only thinking practically!
I am thankful for the honour of receiving both awards this year. It is a humbling experience.

I was also very fornutate to play the role of Lieflings mom in the musical "Liefling" which has been very well received by the public so far! I sing three songs in the movie - and it really was fun and inspiring to perform in a movie again. The last time was 30 years ago in my own movie "Sing vir die Harlekyn"

The premiere red carpet event was the real thing done in style with limo's - celebs and the whole experience! Well done to Paul Krüger and Linda Korsten! I am sure that they will reap the fruit of their hard work.

In this time we also recorded a song called "Shayamanzi" written by Rudi Claase. This song is to promote the leopard conservation project of JPF. For more info go to www.leopard.tv.
I have been working with Jannie Parsons of JPF for a few years now, promoting breast cancer awareness in my music motivational programmes. He is a great business man and really has a passion for what he does.
And as we mentioned already the realitiy show where I collaborated with Phinda, a Xhosa artist, JAMSANDWICH is screened on SABC 2 in November the 23rd at 22h00 and the 26 of November at 24h00. What rediculous times!

And just to let you know that I am planning a show together with Simeon in the Centurion Theatre on the 4th of Februarie 2011. Please diarize.
I will be performing new songs and oldies, with talented musicians that perform with Simeon. Simeon and his band will be doing his own material, but also perform some Michale Buble swing-blues.

Next year is just a thought away!
