My Dad Philip died of cancer on the 29th of November 2009 at the age of 84. He had a full life and really made an impact on peoples' lives just by who he was.
He had a passion for life and as he said when he was diagnosed in September, that he is not ready to exit yet! >>

In an article in the latest Vrouekeur I am talking about my forthcoming new album "Pêrels". Pêrels is my first commercial album in almost ten years. Pêrels will be a double cd.

The first cd consist of 9 new original songs and the second will have 20 of my greatest hits, rerecorded with arrangements as close as possible to the original. . .>>

I was approached at the beginning of the year and asked if I would be interested to play a role in the planned new Afrikaans "musical" Liefling.

I am very excited and accepted the offer. Filming will start in January 2010, and it sounds like the movie will be released in the spring of 2010.

On Saturday 28 November a new music programme, "Reik na die sterre", will start on kykNET. Homebrew films filmed a series of concerts at the Barnyard theatre in Cape Town. The series will run from 28 Nov - 20 Feb 2010 @ 20:00 on Saturdays.

On Saturday 7 November I will be presenting my music motivational programme at the DiStijl Hotel at the Gariep dam. The hotel boasts beautiful views of the dam and is the ideal place to wind down and relax.

This is the ideal opportunity to get the girls together and make it a girls weekend.

Spring is in the air!

And the high pollen count doen not help my sinuses - we need rain!!

It's almost too soon for me - but it is the sign of God's covenant with mother earth!

The programme on KYKNET called "Roer" is a progamme where celebrities chat about themselves whilst preparing a recipe in the kitchen.

I made real Italian pesto and had a ball in chatting about how Italian people cook - as I made a lovely Italian dish - given to me by my Italian friend!

On Saturday 1 Aug (21:00) I will appear once again on the kyk NET TV programme Glitterati. I was invited as a studio guest to give my opinion on the Matthys Maree "Afri-Frans" project. They recorded 13 Afrikaans hit songs in French, including my hits, Ek verlang na jou, Jantjie and Waterblommetjies.

I toured the biggest part of June on the Weast coast and and Cape Town with my music motivational programme " Die hartklop van vrouwees". It was really nice to experience the hospitality of the people on the weast coast. . .
